There's a script at ide/nbproject/ide/nbproject/update-netbeans-classpaths.sh
that does the update of the ide/nbproject/project.xml for you, so it's not
something we need to enforce on the dev community.
It's nice to push the update into version control before each major release.
The linked tickets are provided more for an audit log of all dependencies
changes since the last update.
The problem would go away entirely if project.xml could handle wildcarded
classpaths. It might also be possible to parse the maven files now under
.build/ trunk, but I haven't investigated that.
