For the record there is way more than 17869 that blocks bump to 5.0
(CASSANDRA-16895). Trunk doesn't even compile with JDK17 yet without some
help (scripted UDFs are not removed yet). Jamm maintenance will take time and
there are a bunch of other things to happen before we can declare
CASSANDRA-16895 done.
Some of the dependency updates are not straightforward like just running CI. I
was waiting 4.1 to get out the door and I will hit the mailing list soon
probably to raise visibility and remind people of some details.
