Andres de la Peña commented on CASSANDRA-18068:
-----------------------------------------------

The patch uses this syntax to remove the mask of a column:
{code:java}
ALTER TABLE table_name ALTER column_name WITHOUT MASK;
{code}
That's the syntax that is described [in the
CEP|https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/CASSANDRA/CEP-20%3A+Dynamic+Data+Masking#CEP20:DynamicDataMasking-Maskedtablecolumns].
 However, I wonder if we could use this alternative syntax::
{code:java}
ALTER TABLE table_name ALTER column_name DROP MASKED;
{code}
That would save us the introduction of two new keywords ({{{}WITHOUT{}}} and
{{{}MASK{}}}). What do you think?
