I am not going to revert the commit or anything but I want to point out that
any ticket opened as part of the Java 17 Support Epic is to be tested with JDK
17 and any issues being fixed. Please do consider this in the future. Soon we
will make a few commits that will enable easy trunk testing with JDK 17 in CI
so this shouldn't be a burden anymore.
