The configuration is validated by mean of instantiating a compressor upon
node's startup if you meant that. If we put there some parameter / value which
is not recognized by a specific compressor, it will fail to create it so I
think we are OK in that regard.
I will try to come up with a solution how to not introduce schema package
dependency (CompressionParams) into DatabaseDescriptor.
[~claude] I hope that it is OK if I join here for a while to move this forward.
Please let me know if you want to work on this on your own completely, I may
just delegate this to you. As you wish ... I do not want to hijack this.
