I think there's some misunderstanding here, as devbranch can't be switched and
must continue to support jdk8. It is used for all branches.
When CASSANDRA-18594 lands (and possibly earlier with CASSANDRA-18665) then
this issue becomes invalid (i.e. devbranch won't be used for trunk).
