ping [~e.dimitrova] / [~blerer] - I've rebased all branches after merging
CASSANDRA-18747, now it uses cleaner approach (note that although the test is
initially added to demonstrate the problem, after applying the fix, the test
makes no sense any longer, so it is removed in the other commit)
