I've got the repeats started

bq. one more reason to use FBUtilities.waitOnFuture(cfs.dumpMemtable());
I did this earlier and it survived looping on my machine. Like I said though,
it doesn't seem like 10 threads throwing memtables away with only 50 inserts in
them is all that much.
