Since its experimental release in 5.0, Vector Search has seen limited adoption,
at least if the number of issues filed against it (a grand total of 3*) and the
limited mailing list discussion (TODO: link) are any indication.

With the JVector library [nearing its 4.0.0
release|https://github.com/datastax/jvector/tags], an opportunity to modernize
and harden the feature is about present itself.
