After looking more closely, the README currently includes two {{latest}} doc
links that behave differently.
* {{[https://cassandra.apache.org/doc/latest/development/index.html]}} →
redirects and resolves
!image-2026-01-16-23-17-51-003.png!
*
{{[https://cassandra.apache.org/doc/latest/cassandra/getting_started/index.html]}}
→ redirects to
!image-2026-01-16-23-18-19-231.png!
{{{}[https://cassandra.apache.org/doc/stable/cassandra/getting_started/index.html]{}}},
which then returns 404
!image-2026-01-16-23-20-01-285.png!
So {{latest}} itself appears to be wired, but the redirect target under
{{stable}} is missing for the getting-started docs.
Since server-side redirects and doc publishing aren’t something I can change in
this PR, what would you prefer here?
* update the README links to a known-good versioned path (e.g. {{{}5.0{}}}) so
they work today, or
* leave the {{latest}} links as-is and address the site/docs publishing issue
separately
I’m happy to update the PR either way.
