Per the

on the dev list the following event loops will be marked as deprecated for
3.30.0 and removed in the next release (presumably 3.31.0):
* eventlet
* gevent
* Twisted
This ticket covers marking the event loops as deprecated. I'll create a
separate ticket for 3.31.0 to actually cover the removals since that will
involve a number of updates (including testing apparatus).
At any point these event loops can be managed as a separate project if somebody
wants to take that on. The whole point of these changes is that these event
loops will no longer be tested or supported by this project.
