I'm not sure I'm advocating for this change... at the moment I'm just
documenting something I'm seeing elsewhere.
numpy has recently [dropped support for
pypy|https://github.com/numpy/numpy/issues/30416]. Spark is [considering doing
the same|https://lists.apache.org/thread/glcq0zgr33sozo7y4y7jqph24yh3m92p]. We
might want to consider following suit in order to avoid supporting an
unmaintained platform.
