description follows:
C/C++ version of what was done for
[JAVA-3060|https://datastax-oss.atlassian.net/browse/JAVA-3060] and
[PYTHON-1352|https://datastax-oss.atlassian.net/browse/PYTHON-1352].
Note that since those tickets were worked C* 5.0 has also been released. This
implementation includes support for vectors of arbitrary subtypes, so any impl
of this ticket should probably account for that functionality as well. There’s
a great deal more detail on
