As discussed in dev@cassandra mailing list
([https://lists.apache.org/thread/xyjgfs7kyxczdxvjk47x7dcmv0hcnyry]), we should
at least perform a basic regression test to ensure that when the feature is
disabled do we not have a degradation from CPU and allocation point of view for
hot paths (read/write prepared statement flows).
