As discussed in the [recent thread on the dev
list|https://lists.apache.org/thread/7r2jqfkz33y4x99mvso3mzzvo8bfc75k] the 5.x
line will use Java17 to compile the Java driver. We'll be producing Java17
bytecode so any infrastructure/testing around Java8 and/or Java11 will be
removed.
