As I said above, there's definitely some things you can represent with a 
CompositeType that we won't expose in the API.  IMO it's an intractable problem 
otherwise.  (And anyone currently using CT isn't using CQL...  whatever they're 
doing now will continue to work, no matter what we add to CQL.)
