Brandon Williams created CASSANDRA-4232:
-------------------------------------------
Summary: Bootstrapping nodes should not throttle compaction
Key: CASSANDRA-4232
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-4232
Project: Cassandra
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: Core
Reporter: Brandon Williams
Priority: Minor
Fix For: 1.1.1
When bootstrapping a new node, often people have to disable compaction
throughput so secondary index building completes more reasonably. Since a
bootstrapping node isn't a member yet, there's no reason for it to respect
compaction_throughput_in_mb.
