Sylvain Lebresne resolved CASSANDRA-4629.
-----------------------------------------
Resolution: Invalid
CassandraDatabaseMetadata is not a Cassandra class. You'd want to open an issue
at http://code.google.com/a/apache-extras.org/p/cassandra-jdbc/ (the jdbc
driver is not part of the Cassandra project).
> CQL/JDBC: implement complete jdbc metadata
> ------------------------------------------
>
> Key: CASSANDRA-4629
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-4629
> Project: Cassandra
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Affects Versions: 1.1.4
> Reporter: Michael Krumpholz
> Labels: cql, jdbc
>
> Please provide a more complete implementation of the jdbc spec for the
> metadata. The CassandraDatabaseMetaData implementation of DatabaseMetaData
> returns only empty result sets for the important methods. Also the
> getIdentifierQuoteString() returns single quote (') instead of double quotes
> ("). " should be the correct quote string for SQL identifiers at least in my
> understanding!?
> I have written some code at least for some parts of the jdbc api that we need
> using cql queries on the system.schema_* tables. I put the code for our
> project into separated classes to avoid direct changes to libs which will
> change/improve in new versions. I don't know if it's complete and/or correct
> in all cases.
