Brandon Williams created CASSANDRA-7939:
-------------------------------------------

             Summary: checkForEndpointCollision should ignore joining nodes
                 Key: CASSANDRA-7939
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-7939
             Project: Cassandra
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Core
            Reporter: Brandon Williams
            Assignee: Brandon Williams
            Priority: Minor
             Fix For: 2.0.11, 2.1.1

If you fail a bootstrap, then immediately retry it, cFEC erroneously tells you
to replace it:

{noformat}
ERROR 00:04:50 Exception encountered during startup
java.lang.RuntimeException: A node with address bw-3/10.208.8.63 already
exists, cancelling join. Use cassandra.replace_address if you want to replace
this node.
