Hi @weizhouapache - thanks for looking into this. It was clearly the latter case - SSVM not having dns set up correctly, but I have no idea why / how this happened or how to fix this. I was following quick start installation guide so perhaps I missed a step. Anyway, I've scrapped the whole installation from all hosts and started afresh, following the main installation guide, and this time things seem to work fine. It's a bit of a learning curve but things are working. I am still getting my head around the split in logs / events /alerts and notifications across different pages. But my overall impression has shifted from a bit of frustration with installation/docs to just how impressive and powerful the overall product is.
