@jbampton , I am not sure if tag protection works with our current release procedure, but in principle this should be good. Two remarks: - releases are based on comiit-ids, not tags (officially, but nobody minds those so it is still. an issue) - tooling is being created for "trusted releases" , see https://github.com/apache/tooling-trusted-releases the current procedure sets a tag on an RC, but then moves it if there is a second RC, which we unfortunately almost always have. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
