Back in my school days, it was always recommended to avoid filepaths with special characters because they tend to mess things up in terminal environments. I just tested having a cordova project in a filepath with parenthesis on Linux and it works fine here. I still think this is an issue worth addressing. Cordova should be sanitizing/escaping special characters in filepaths.
