I don't think there are any official word yet, but given that `WKWebView` is/will be enforced by apple, `cordova-ios@6` (unreleased) has `UIWebView` completely removed and the `WKWebView` implemented via https://github.com/apache/cordova-ios/pull/773 making this plugin redundant moving forward. Most of our volunteer efforts has been in preparing `WKWebview` support inside `cordova-ios`. I'm not heavily involved with the iOS side of things, but I doubt this plugin will have ongoing maintenance, and I assume we will be seeing a sunset/deprecation notice soon.
