commit 77e397739c46901325693130bcd99f61fccf57e4

Use {var} format for parameters in docs instead of $var

In the new scanner docs I used `$plugin` while in other parts of the docs we
had `{...}` already. Switch to use the already established format for
consistency. Though, I personally, think `$plugin` reads a tiny bit better
than
    `{plugin}`.

While at it, correct the incosistent `string` vs `tag` keys. Go with `tag`
since that describes a bit better what it is instead of the generic "string"
    term.
