:oh!  I didn't realize that you only tar up sys.  That's cool.  Maybe use bzip2 
instead of gzip and call the tarball "src-sys.tar.bz2" instead of only 
"src.tgz"?

    That cuts it down from 14MB to 11MB.  Ok, done.
