Thanks for the reminder; I have tested and updated MAKEDEV, gpt.8 and fdisk.8 with this info. I was aware of the GPT limit, from earlier discussion on our lists, but didn't know that MBR limit is different. I guess the old limit of 31 slices is plenty for most uses, but 127 is excellent; a high number can also be relevant for compatibility with other systems for shared use of disk. -thomas
