So the concern is for the additional 9MB of dependencies incurred on the Daffodil development side? Since the client side would be opt-in and would incur the cost regardless of how you maintain this. Weigh the cost of 9MB of artifacts vs the overhead of another repo to integrate this.... and there are likely a list of both pros and cons to either approach, could go either way.
