I agree that this isn't the best solution, however, I think where we want to be would be a global VSCode setting that defaults to the temp directory, not a launch config setting or a per-use dialog box. @hdalsania and I were looking at doing this for 1.4.2, and possibly looking at the global setting in future releases. We're not even sure how configurable this actually has to be - how many users are going to need to move the temp file generation out of the temp folder? I don't think having the user enter a path for Create/Append is the way we want to go with this. If the user doesn't want to change the location, they should never have to interact with a dialog asking them to choose the path of the source file. It should be automatic, and our instructions for the most basic use case should be as simple as possible - our users may not have used VSCode before, let alone an IDE in general. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
