Fixes the .gitattributes file to force LF for all types of text files. Modern OSs like Windows, MacOS, Ubunto know how to read the different line endings and accommodate. Not only that, but standardizing on LF is accepted practice for cross-language use and minimizes unwanted variation in file sizes and content, which makes for more reproducible releases. To improve the quality and stability of builds when created from the distributed source: - Added failOnNoGitDirectory=false to the git-commit-id-maven-plugin which adds stability for builds - Added default entries for the git-properties added to jar files.
