We want to enhance the website content and viewing experience to better
explain what Apache DevLake is and engage more participation from the community.
### Goals
#### 1. Provide better understanding of what Apache DevLake is
Context:
Because quite a few new communities have raised up the problem that they're
still having a hard time understanding what DevLake is and what it does, we
want to unpack such information in more easy-to-understand and interactive ways.
Solutions:
**a. Update the homepage**
- Replace the three feature illustrations with real product
images/screenshots (a simplified version of the architecture diagram, dashboard
screenshots and maybe one or two new config UI screens) and add descriptive
text if needed
**b. Improve the introduction and setup doc**
- Replace the current screenshot with better images/screenshots of the
product in Introduction
- Add an overview in Deploy Locally to indicate what to expect during and
after installation
- Refine the installation guidance in a more modular style:
- Set up the service
- Using the Config UI (interactions, collection speed)
- Viewing the dashboards (clarifying the relationship between synced data
and dashboards)
### Brainstorming for future
- Add a introductory/demo video
- Add use cases
