kangpinghuang opened a new issue #2147: Optimized BE tool URL: https://github.com/apache/incubator-doris/issues/2147 Now BE has meta tool to look into tablet meta/rowset meta in rocksdb for debug/rollback purpose. It is used as an independent bin, which is not convenient for usage online because you have to deploy it. And segment v2 need also a tool to explore the file detail and so on. It is not a good choice to add another bin. So I think we should add a segment framework directly to BE bin and can use BE bin to realize the purpose. And the framework should be extended conveniently.
