Review Comment:
Fixed in 399b6fe356. Planning now short-circuits an explicitly pinned empty
snapshot instead of consulting the table's current snapshot. The regression
test appends the first file after the empty pin and still produces no scan
ranges.

Review Comment:
Fixed in 399b6fe356. write.metadata.path is now included as an independently
owned root when it is outside the table and data roots. The root-resolution
test covers separate table, data, and metadata locations.

Review Comment:
Fixed in 399b6fe356. The RowDelta begin guard now checks whether the read
snapshot was pinned, preserving -1 as the empty-table OCC fence. Tests verify
the stored base and that validation from -1 rejects the first concurrent commit.
