### What problem does this PR solve?
Issue Number: None
Related PR: #66858
Problem Summary: Replace the implementation-specific Variant microbenchmark
with a source-version-neutral, high-level cumulative compaction workload. The
workload validates output semantics and storage layouts across sparse,
whole-Variant, mixed physical placement, and Doc Mode scenarios, records
reproducibility metadata, and keeps benchmark-only packaging usable when the
regular BE output tree is absent.
