# Proposed changes Issue Number: close #705 ## Problem Summary: Reject unsupported `scan.startup.mode` values in MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle and DB2 CDC database synchronization instead of silently choosing an initial snapshot. The error reports the supplied value and supported modes. Preserve current defaults, case-insensitive matching and every supported mapping. Validation: `DatabaseSyncTest` passes all 13 tests with the Flink 1 profile and Maven checks retained. PostgreSQL and SQL Server source-construction regressions fail against the original implementation. All five source option defaults remain `initial`. The existing DB2 URL test now compares parameter contents independently of Properties iteration order. No live CDC database job was executed. ## Checklist(Required) 1.
