The suite writes eight small transactions and checks that cumulative compaction reduces the rowset count on every tablet. Automatic bucket selection can leave a tablet with nine zero-segment rowsets, for which the compaction endpoint returns an empty-input error. Use one bucket to put all eight writes on the tablet being checked and surface the submission error before polling. The SQL result and index-file assertions are preserved. Validation: compiled the Groovy suite and checked the new submission assertion against successful and recorded empty-input responses.
