# Proposed changes A code style linter is the key to making all the git history traceable and readable. - introduce the spotless maven plugin for linting Scala and Java code - spotless maven plugin 2.30.0 is the last available version for Java 8 - use ScalaFmt for Sala code linting, the style config file `.scalafmt.conf` also help lint on local IDE - use Google Java Format for Java linting - auto checked in CI builds with maven, and easy to apply fixes by running `mvn spotless:apply` ## Problem Summary: Describe the overview of changes. ## Checklist(Required) 1.
