1.1.19

This release moves the project onto a Redis 8.0 baseline
and onto Jedis 8.x, and fills in the hash-field-expiration
family that Redis 8 introduced. Thank you to <a
href="https://github.com/RafeArnold";>
@RafeArnold
who did the
majority of work for this release!

🎯 Redis 8.0 is the new baseline

Comparison tests now run against

redis:8.0-alpine
(<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/846";>#846, <a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/851";>#851) instead
of
redis:7.4-alpine
.

HELLO
reports
version 8.0.0
,
matching the baseline.

🀝 Jedis 8.x support

redis.clients:jedis
7.5.3 β†’ 8.0.1 (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/836";>#836).

HELLO
was rewritten (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/836";>#836). It
used to reply with a two-element
[proto, 2]
array and to ignore
everything after the protocol version. It now returns the full handshake map a
real server sends β€”
server
,
version
,

proto
,
id
,
mode
,
role
,

modules
β€” which is what newer clients read when they set up a
connection.

πŸš€ New commands

<a
href="https://valkey.io/commands/hgetdel/";>
HGETDEL

(<a href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/848";>#848)

<a
href="https://valkey.io/commands/hsetex/";>
HSETEX
(<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/849";>#849)

🐞 Bug fixes

All three are hash field-TTL bugs, found while implementing the commands
above.

HSET
did not clear the TTL of the fields it
wrote (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/844";>#844). On a
real server, overwriting a field drops that field's expiration; the mock kept
it, so a field written after
HEXPIRE
still vanished at the old
deadline.

A latent bug in

ExpiringKeyValueStorage.put
(<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/844";>#844): the
TTL passed in was configured on the hash key rather than on the field,
so a per-field expiration was applied to the whole hash.

HINCRBY
,
HINCRBYFLOAT
and

HSETNX
cleared TTLs they should have left alone (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/843";>#843) β€” both
the field's and the hash key's. None of the three touches expiration on a real
server.

πŸ§ͺ Testing

Valkey's
unit/hashexpire
TCL suite is vendored and
runs in the native-tests CI matrix (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/849";>#849),
alongside the
HGETDEL
blocks added to

unit/type/hash.tcl
(<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/848";>#848).

ComparisonBase
now flushes the database before
every test (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/850";>#850),
removing the copy-pasted
@BeforeEach
from ~30 test classes and the
implicit flush that
NotificationCollector.collectorFor
used to
perform.

πŸ’Ό Dependencies

redis.clients:jedis
7.5.3 β†’ 8.0.1 (<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/fppt/jedis-mock/issues/836";>#836) β€”
compile scope, see above.

org.slf4j:slf4j-api
and
slf4j-simple
2.0.18 β†’
