SandishKumarHN edited a comment on issue #7890: Set Test timeout higher for robust performance URL: https://github.com/apache/incubator-druid/pull/7890#issuecomment-502866003 @jihoonson NUM_THREAD is a default option to the SegmentManagerThreadSafetyTest, is set to 4 threads https://github.com/apache/incubator-druid/blob/master/server/src/test/java/org/apache/druid/server/SegmentManagerThreadSafetyTest.java#L74 which is the root cause for taking a long time to run tests (Synchronization lock). My tests improved performance after changing NUM_THREAD from 4 to 1. it will not use all CPU cores because of NUM_THREAD option. please correct me if I'm wrong.
