I think it'd be interesting to see performance with data from a cluster that's used for some real world purpose, with some real queries used in that cluster. For performance measurement, you could gather query metrics emitted by druid, and check ingest/persist performance through task logs, profilers, etc. I don't have a specific tool in mind.
