toughrogrammer opened a new issue #8119: Publish metrics during hadoop index task URL: https://github.com/apache/incubator-druid/issues/8119 I had very hard time to analyze why my hadoop index task failed. Only things I could refer were hadoop mapreduce job logs and hadoop counters. It was disaster casue my problem was about direct memory which it's not included hadoop counters, and also there was no log about it. I thought druid monitoring options are pretty nice, and it would be nice if monitors produce metrics to kafka during mapreduce jobs also.
