drnushooz commented on issue #8325: InvalidTypeIdException while deserializing Granularity JSON URL: https://github.com/apache/incubator-druid/issues/8325#issuecomment-522260242 It turns out to be an issue with Jackson release higher than 2.7 where if there is a defaultImpl, in JsonTypeInfo tag. I am able to get past this with Jackson 2.6.7 which is what druid 0.15 uses but any version higher than 2.7 will break the druid indexer when using Spark.
