Life intervened as always, so I haven't thought about this for a while. I've just pushed that refactor I mentioned above that improves the package and class layout. The commit also bumps the target Spark and scala patch versions (to 2.4.7 & 2.12.12, respectively) to pull in security fixes, adds more unit tests, and improves the code documentation. Finally, the commit adds two new features: the ability to specify SQL-compliant or Druid default value null handling (via the `reader.useDefaultValueForNull` config option) and experimental support for columnar reads.
