Review Comment:
   Nit: LinkedHashMaps are nicer 'cause they maintain order on iteration.  This 
makes things a lot nicer for like, `toString()` and other debug-style 
activities.

   Is String equality really the best way?
   
   If it is, do it as `"google.protobuf...".equals()` instead.
