This is because of how I am testing the server. I push the code onto GitHub and pull onto the VM. And so after the first commit which was done from the VM, bug fixes got their own commits. I work now working on fixing the ftp issue with the VM to allow data transfer without using GitHub. I will squash the commit and revert.
