I am wondering if we should support and test on MySQL 8.x vs MariaDD as our user base are more familiar with MySQL than mariadb. Mariadb might be a drop in replacement but I wonder if we are making a conscious decision that we want to be testing and developing on mariadb exclusively? Do you see some issue going forward.
