### Question Has the Fory project considered when it can move on from Java 8? Java 8 is now end of support for many years, and the ecosystem as a whole is moving on. For example, we cannot update the version of Arrow, despite (unfortunately false positive) CVEs affecting it: #2421 Also, new language versions have attractive new features in the language that we could use to write better code. It feels very "old" to have to continue to support software development environments released in 2014, and the latest Java 8 fixes are not even available without extremely expensive support contracts. Could Fory move forward to at least Java 11, but probably preferred Java 17? -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
