Hi, @hhr293 . After discussing with @zhouyuan and @LuciferYang , I think it’s fine to continue with this change in Gluten, especially to better support older Spark versions. Please consider validating it with upstream Spark CI first, since optimizer changes usually get more comprehensive coverage there. Even if it’s not eventually merged upstream, confirming that it works correctly in the general Spark context should be sufficient for us to move forward in Gluten.
