rdtr opened a new pull request, #13267:
URL: https://github.com/apache/gluten/pull/13267
## What changes are proposed in this pull request?
Fixes `GlutenDateExpressionsSuite` "TruncTimestamp of Long.MinValue
overflows with ArithmeticException", which #13163 disabled. This is a test-only
change.
Truncating the minimum timestamp (`Long.MinValue` micros) rounds it down
below the representable range. Spark throws an `ArithmeticException`. Velox
fails too, with a `VeloxUserError` ("Could not convert
Timestamp(-9223402780800, 0) to microseconds"), so the overflow is not silently
ignored. Only the error type is different.
The original test stays excluded, and a Gluten version accepts either error,
as #13262 does for the DEFAULT length test.
Part of #13178.
## How was this patch tested?
The changed test compiles on Spark 4.2. The Spark 4.2 UT CI runs it.
## Was this patch authored or co-authored using generative AI tooling?
