This following expands the scope and could/should be another issue and PR. https://raw.githubusercontent.com/apache/grails-core/HEAD/build-logic/plugins/src/main/groovy/org/apache/grails/buildsrc/PublishPlugin.groovy is the file that generates the developers list in the POM and it could be parsed to generate the contributors list section.
