   Hello,

My understanding is that any compute that wants to use ducklake , needs to
have access to both: the catalog (Postgres for example) and to the storage
(Azure data
    Lake ). Is this correct?

   Please read my [article with
video](https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/thinking-ducklake-architecture-miguel-peredo-z%25C3%25BCrcher-lt5ff/?trackingId=ICzMRG4IR8S6iz0om%2Bk8cA%3D%3D)
and let me know if there’s another way to connect to Ducklake via JDBC in a
way the client does not need access to both.

   Thanks!
   Miguel
